Introducing Live Chat:
Beginning November 17, 2016, claimants who are logged into their online unemployment may opt to receive live support by using the new “Live Chat” feature. This will provide an easier, more convenient way to contact Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) with general questions about their unemployment claim. Customer service representatives can provide assistance to individuals who need assistance navigating through their online account.
To initiate the live chat, click the Live Chat button located at the top left hand corner of the main menu screen.
The Live Chat option cannot be used to:
- File weeks for unemployment benefits,
- File applications, or
- Complete fact finding.
The live chat feature will be available to claimants during our normal business hours, 8am until 5pm.
