OHSTS is currently in the process of revising all core curriculum for Adult Protective Services. Each course will be piloted as it is revised. We would like to invite Adult Protective Service Workers in CDJFS agencies around Ohio to participate in the pilot of these revised courses. Please see the attached flyer announcing the pilot of "Basic Legal Framework for Adult Protective Services" at: 2005 Conference.

The Ohio Human Services Training System (OHSTS) is a cooperative effort of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS), the Ohio Job and Family Services Directors' Association (OJFSDA), County Job and Family Services (CDJFS) staff, and four host county Regional Training Centers (RTCs). The State Steering Committee, consisting of representatives of these agencies, conducts operational planning for the system.

The mission of the Ohio Human Services Training System is to develop, implement, and maintain a high-quality, comprehensive, competency-based, in-service training system. This system will develop the knowledge and skills of county Job and Family Services staff and their community partners in order to enable them to address effectively the varied and changing needs of adults in Ohio whose service goals include self-sufficiency and safety.
